This is one of the very last Nuna Parr bears that will be available. From the Stevens estate, consigned to our gallery. Finished in an exquisite apple green kimmirut stone, this particular bear stands as one of Nuna Parr's quintessential masterpieces.
This is a rare opportunity to own one of Nuna Parr's elite bears carved during the mid-2010s. After hearing of Nuna's health issues, it came to my attention that there was a small collection of 2 Nuna Parr bears at the co-op in Kimmirut (where he once travelled to visit family). It was here that he carved out a few beautiful dancing bears that somehow became forgotten. Until now.
This is one of two beautiful classic dancing bears by Nuna Parr from 2010-2015. It is New, never owned previously by any collector. It was litterally sitting in the co-op managers office, was completely forgotten about and not processed to have procured to a gallery down south. (We would have been more than delighted to snatch this beauty up back then)
At the age of 70, Nuna has recently had some health setbacks and is carving less frequently. We cannot predict the future but now we seldom receive his beautiful bears with any regularity.
However, what I can say with confidence, is ALL of Nuna Parr’s famous bears will double or triple in value when he retires. This magnificent beast is no exception.
This bear is the quintessential Nuna Parr Bear.
The movement...dynamic, expressive.
The stone...the finest earthy, layered green serpentine stone.
